Bring It On

release date  08.10.2021

Unique vocals bouncing on a dirty electronic instrumental, conclusively leading into several guitar themed choruses.

The basic theme of being into someone lyrically expressed as being "off for a night" and waiting for the responding connection from this person.

Bring It On, mastered by Iorie.

The vocals are processed in an old school yet contemporary sounding way and suits the overall experimental and dirty vibe with electronic nuances. Some might say that this work is eclectic - to some extent, this might be true. Nuances from several styles are observable if you listen closely. A mostly 4 to the floor deep house beat matched with a punk-ish sounding vocal which are simultaneously  bouncing on an electronic yet indie pop influenced intrumental with lots of ear candies and effects. Moreover, the melodies are highly mood dependent; uplifting on a good day, unsettling on others.

I created this setting to emphasis on the overall objective of waiting for an answer - wild thoughts spinning through your mind, outcomes and settings will be created and the responding connection from beloved person is officially still pending. The instrumentation was meant to represent that.

The cover artwork was another important step in the project. I adore the filigrane yet minimalistic approach of line art. Artworks like that look mysterious and somehow lovely soothing at the same time.

The artwork, a piece by infinitenoon, suits the main theme of the single - waiting for a responding connection from a specific person, or in other words: Being in love while the other person doesn‘t seem to feel the same way.

The record lyrically expresses this as „being off for a night“, to not stop when the lights turn off, because loving people can still see adored person in the dark.

I actually get this vibe from the cover artwork - there might be a connection in general but it seems to be one-sided.. in my mind, the left face is the one being adored and the face on the right is the person singing the record, e.g. feeling something for the left person.
